ABOUT IPDMA
The Integrated Police Data Management Application (IPDMA) modules have been developed over the past ten years to provide an affordable and fully integrated data management application. It is designed to meet the information and reporting needs of department personnel, including police and civilian employees.
These modules require one-time data entry with no duplicates and greatly reduce the need to print and handle paper reports.
Access to the modules is highly secure. Members can enter dynamic forms including use of force, police pursuits, transfer requests, lost/damaged equipment, etc. People have full access to view (but not change) their own information including service records, training records, inventory issued, firearm scores, sick leave, overtime, use of force, transfer requests etc.
Supervisors can view, update, and sign-off on reports for the members that report to them including adding and updating ongoing performance evaluations and anecdotal notes.
There are currently 17 data modules that make up the IPDMA. The four core modules (Personnel File Management, Staff Development & Training, Personnel Information Management and Quartermaster Inventory Control) track all aspects of human resource data management, recruiting, service records, awards & commendations, courses, training and expense sheets, performance appraisals, transfer requests, firearms and firearm qualification scores, police pursuits, use of force, critical incidents, confidential HR notes and quartermaster inventory and supplier tracking.
The system includes an early warning feature which uses information from several modules to give a clean, comprehensive dashboard composed of elements such as complaints, sick leave, use of force, overtime and other measures.
