“The Saanich Police had a vision of an integrated personnel management system as early as 1999 when we first explored the concepts of early warning, or early intervention systems. This vision led to the development of IPDMA application and we have been using it and contributing to its ongoing development for the past 10 years.
“Some of the direct benefits of using the modules include a significant reduction in the need to print reports and handle paperwork; the majority of all personnel data is now managed electronically using very clean and user friendly data entry forms; the data is entered once but is available, as needed, in any of the modules; and, we consistently save a great deal of time, energy, paper, and money by using these modules. Just a few of the features available include the dynamic creation of performance evaluations; documenting examples of employee performance; recording and monitoring sick leave, overtime, public commendations and complaints; documenting and gathering statistics on use of force and police pursuits; and management of quartermaster-stores inventory. Plus there are a wide range of reports including instant statistics on any of the data being captured. One of the most significant benefits we have seen is giving staff the ability to see their individual records enabling them to manage their own performance.
“IPDMA is a very professional and cost effective solution for the management of any police department.”

“Our office has been using the IPDMA Professional Standards record management application for the past four years. The module has been instrumental in our office's ability to view and organize a wide variety of information in one integrated data form. This module allows our analysts to track and manage a high case load at a quality level that would otherwise be impossible. Professional reports and statistics can be created with just a click of a button and have been customized to fit our exact needs. The IPDMA module manages to capture an astonishing amount of information, yet it is a refreshingly simple, user friendly system that takes very little training. We would not want to manage our files without it!”

“The Victoria Police Department has been using the IPDMA Professional Standards module for the last two years. We have found this program to be a very efficient and cost effective solution to managing our internal investigation files including case notes, progress reports, notifications, and generating Police Board reports. Our department is currently in the process of expanding our use of IPDMA to include the other personnel files modules, which will make the program easier for us to use and provide us with the added benefit of having integrated access to the personnel information. The developer has been exceptionally receptive to feedback and working with us to improve and refine the program to meet our needs.”

“The Saanich Police Department is using 10 of the IPDMA integrated data modules. The staff in the Chief's office have been using the Personnel Files (PF) module for the past 10 years to manage all of the police and civilian personnel files. The PF module has one clean, simple, and easy to use data entry form including service records, performance evaluations, training records, accumulated service, retirement eligibility, seniority lists, allowances, specialities, and diary dates. The report menu organizes the member address and phone lists, PIN, locker, and inventory lists, plus a wide range of other reports and statistics. Any changes or additions made in the PF module are instantly available in the other modules. All of the calculations for pay indexes and promotions are automated which saves the department a huge amount of time and effort plus our need for printing and photocopying has decreased dramatically. IPDMA makes it very easy to update and manage our data and the support for the modules is excellent. I highly recommend IPDMA!”

“IPDMA is a secure system that allows for simple, quick, easy and organized data entry and retrieval. It is user friendly and requires minimal training to operate. Tracking, diary date, auditing and preparation of quarterly and year end reports is simply a matter of a few key strokes. It allows for early intervention monitoring when integrated with the other modules. The database is a tremendous time saver when responding to internal and external requests for information.”
